Dr. Jamie Irwin Richard
“As your dentist, I am dedicated to excellence and committed to the long-term health of your teeth and gums. You will be greeted with a smile and treated with respect, courtesy and personalized care. I believe that communication, trust and honesty are of utmost importance in the dental office. I truly love what I do and believe that that is reflected in my work.”
A Nebraska native, Dr. Jamie Irwin Richard grew up in Omaha, NE as the first of 3 children. She graduated cum laude from Ball State University Honors College with a BS in Biology on academic and gymnastics scholarships. Upon graduation, Dr. Richard was fortunate to have the opportunity to become a dental assistant in a community clinic where she realized that dentistry was the career choice for her. After graduating from Indiana University School of Dentistry with a DDS degree, she decided to complete a one-year intense general practice residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her love for the mountains drew her to Denver, and she made the move in 2008 upon completion of her residency. Since that time, she has been practicing dentistry in the Denver Metro area, and opened Dentistry at Golden Ridge in 2013. Dr. Richard is a member of several organizations including The American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Metro Denver Dental Society and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. She is also active in several local study clubs.
Dr. Richard, her husband Troy, and 4 young children, have called Golden home for over a decade, and absolutely love life in the foothills. A passion of the Richard family is home remodel. They’ve lived in and fixed up several houses, and really enjoy everything that comes with all the drywall dust! Dr. Richard grew up doing gymnastics and competed up through the collegiate level with her best event being Vault. Now her favorite sports teams to watch are those of her children from swim team, to gymnastics, to lacrosse, to volleyball and beyond. Her favorite foods include pizza and chocolate, and loves hitting up a local coffee shop in any new town she visits. Her favorite vacation spot is Santa Barbara. Her favorite movie is The Proposal and favorite book is Checklist Manifesto. Dr. Richard has been in the dental field for 20 years, and her two favorite parts of her job are talking with patients and continuing education.
Dr. Christina VerSchave
Dr. Christina Sehy VerSchave grew up, along with her three brothers, in a small farming community in south central Illinois. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Graduating in the top 3% of her class, Dr. VerSchave was honored as a Bronze Tablet Scholar. This recognition is memorialized with her name engraved on a bronze tablet which hangs in the University’s library.
Dr. VerSchave completed her dental education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2005. While there, she had the opportunity to travel to Colorado to work as a dentist in the Salud Family Health Center in Fort Lupton. Although Dr. VerSchave had visited Colorado several times, this trip reinforced her desire to make Colorado home. After working as an associate dentist in a busy general practice in a northwest suburb of Chicago, Dr. VerSchave moved to Colorado in 2007. Since that time, Dr. VerSchave has been a dentist in Lakewood, owning her own single doctor general dental practice for 14 of those years. Having known Dr. Jamie Richard since 2010, initially meeting in an area dental study club of which they are both still active, Dr. VerSchave is excited to be providing dental care alongside her at Dentistry at Golden Ridge.
Dr. Christina VerSchave is a firm believer in continuing education and insists on keeping up with the latest techniques and technologies affecting the dental profession. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Metro Denver Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pankey Institute. Dr. VerSchave is also active in several local study clubs.
Dr. Christina VerSchave and her husband, Everett, along with their three children, have lived in Littleton for over 15 years. Dr. VerSchave enjoys running the trails near her home with their dog Felix, while her husband much prefers the trails on a mountain bike. Everett keeps his family on their toes with his many home remodel projects and quite spoiled with his delicious cooking creations. Dr. VerSchave’s most favorite pastime is spending time with her husband and children. Between running her kids around, watching each of them play soccer, listening to her girls on the piano, playing any sport involving a ball with her son, or all skiing together, life stays exciting. One aspect of dentistry Dr. VerSchave most enjoys is talking with her patients and getting to know them on a personal level. The connections remind her of life growing up in a small town.
Motto:
As a dentist for nearly 20 years, Dr. VerSchave recognizes the value of her patients. She provides dentistry she would demand for her family, her friends, and herself.
